This is part of a three day series of exchanges organized in partnership with Open Engagement and co-sponsored by the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute’s Social Practice Lab at Duke, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Chapel Hill, and various local organizations. Open Engagement is an artist-led initiative committed to expanding the dialogue around and serving as a site of care for the field of socially engaged art. This year’s series is designed to survey the state of the field and will include similar conversations in Chapel Hill and Greensboro September 13-15.
