VAE Summit

VAE Summit

The arts pride themselves as a safe, inclusive space for audiences and artists, and yet rarely do we sit down together to have dialogue about our differences, hidden biases, and blind spots. This year’s summit will gather a diverse group of artists, arts administrators, and board members to collectively look ourselves in the mirror, identify areas for improvement, arrive at meaningful community goals and standards, and support each other in our efforts.

WHERE: National Humanities Center, Research Triangle Park
WHEN: Saturday, July 21, 10am-5pm.
COST: $11.97 (Tickets)

10-11am: Panel discussion
11am – 2pm: Facilitated conversation with lunch
2-3pm: Speed Dates/ Swap Meet
3-4pm: Cocktail Hour
Coffee, water, snacks and lunch provided.

VAE and the 11 co-hosting organizations made a commitment to keep the registration price accessible. We are charging $11.97 because that is the exact remaining cost per person. We want to make it clear that we are not aiming to financially profiting from facilitating this conversation. If this price is an obstacle to your attendance, please let us know and we will work something out! We want you there!

These organizations have signed on to co-host VAE’s 2018 Summit because they want to hear from you. They want to be a part of an inclusive arts community and want to make sure the Triangle’s cultural arts reflect the community we exist in:
