We look forward to seeing you at The Carrack’s annual RENT PARTY! Let’s have some fun while we open up another year of possibilities to a new group of creative thinkers, makers and doers.
Our auction features a “Best of 2014″ exhibition of original artworks by Carrack artists and experiences, gifts and memberships provided by other arts organizations that make us proud to call the Bull City home. Our local partners will keep your glasses and plates full while you bid in your best take on “creative black tie” and swoon over modern, original jazz by the acclaimed Eric Hirsh.
Funds raised from the sale of artworks will be split 50/50 with the artists and all income from ticket sales and other auction items support The Carrack’s 2015 operating costs.
Tickets are $125, $75 for Carrack Sustainers. Space is limited to just 70 guests!
Support artists. Support your community. Support The Carrack. Buy Tickets.
Preview our auction items and learn more about the individuals, artists and businesses you’ll see at our Third Annual Art Auction & Gala.
We are SO excited to announce that proceeds from art sales will be split 50/50 with our donating artists. All proceeds raised from ticket sales and other auction items will support the events, exhibits, programming and operations of The Carrack in 2015.
Each year, we look to our patrons for support of the year ahead. We make it a point to raise 100% of our operational costs before the start of a new exhibit season so that we can ensure complete creative freedom for our artists with no commercial pressure from the space.
They are AWESOME!
Sustainers give $5 or more per month at thecarrack.org/donate. Contributions are secure, fully tax-deductible and automatically draft from your bank account so you only have to think about it once. Sustainers are invited to attend special quarterly events with Carrack Artists and Team, receive insider news, and save $50 per ticket to our Gala on October 11.
Collective ownership and widespread grassroots support are vital to keeping this place open, experimental and ever-evolving. With your participation, small amounts add up to a great asset for the Arts in Durham.
The Carrack is a zero commission art space founded in downtown Durham in 2011. Our mission is to empower local artists to forge productive cultural and socio-economic ties with their community through professional exhibit and performance opportunities in a space that is not commercially driven. To date, the Carrack has hosted over 85 exhibits and supported hundreds of visual and performing artists. Our grassroots approach facilitates a dynamic conversation between the arts community and downtown Durham, one that directly fuels its ongoing revitalization.
