The Green Season

The Green Season: Rice Field Geometry of Burma, Cambodia and Thailand

Paintings by Pamela George

September 11 – 21, 2012

Pamela George will present a new body of oil, acrylic and cold wax paintings at the Carrack inspired by scenes she encountered while living and teaching in ChiangMai, Thailand. This series of images captures her impression of the verdant rice fields of Thailand, Burma and Cambodia during the “Green Season,” a time when the fields are flooded and baby rice is planted.

Pamela George is a local painter and professor – formerly at North Carolina Central University and now at Duke University.
