Puzzling Margins

Puzzling Margins

June 23 – July 4, 2015

Puzzling Margins will feature several sculptures and two sculptural installations that transform manufactured, household materials into evocative and strange biomorphic forms. Using mystery, wildness, and tactility my work stalks contemporary domesticity, aiming to poetically explore its comforts, contradictions and consequences while offering alternatives to its functions and associated roles. Inspired by fantasy, animals, feminism, and my memories of home, my otherworldly sculptures hover between dream and nightmare, mimicking known life while remaining alien.

In addition to the opening reception on Friday, June 26, 6 – 10 p.m., Meg will host a Gallery Talk on Wednesday, July 1 at 12:30 p.m.
