MURALISTS! brings together 14 artists who collaborated with the Durham Civil Rights History Mural Project. Get ready for two weeks of workshops, panels and parties on cultural resistance and the power of art to engage and bridge communities.


Thursday, February 11, 7:00 p.m.
Occupy the Imagination, Stories of Seduction and Resistance: a multimedia presentation by documentary filmmaker Rodrigo Dorfman on the act of witnessing and the challenges of documenting social and cultural resistance movements, from Occupy to BLM and beyond. Party to follow.

Jam.Shop.Sip.Repeat (JSSR) is a new monthly event series at The Carrack presented by The Art of Cool Festival. February’s JSSR celebrates Black History Month with a listening session on the theme of revolutionary music and vendors Airtrafik, Outsidershuddle, and Chef Steve.

Black Magic is a community mixer/fundraiser that will feature a series of pop up performances that are inspired by, and pay homage to, black trailblazers of art and entertainment.
