Jello Salad

One-night Interactive Performance

Gracelee Lawrence

Friday June 28, 2013, 7 – 9 pm

Exploring the normative behaviors, dress, and food of a bygone era, this performance encourages viewers to look at contemporary standards of comportment that we take for granted. What has carried over from the past? What should we keep and what can we discard from an era rife with racism, homophobia, and sexism? Employing outdated dress and food as a vehicle of thought, viewers are encouraged to look at their present lives in an active, instead of a passive, manner.

Join us for a performance from 7 – 8 pm with a reception to follow.
