Code X

A selection of work by members of Triangle Book Arts

December 3 – 15, 2013

Triangle Book Arts is an informal group of local artists who work in the book form. Our interests include traditional arts of the book such as bookbinding, papermaking, writing, photography, and printmaking, as well as the genre of artwork called artists’ books: books that are conceptualized and created as original works of art.

It’s a tumultuous time in the history of the book. Hardly a day goes by that doesn’t feature a news story about its death at the hands of digital media, or its surprising survival. For our part, we’re excited to present our case for its thriving evolution: Code X, a selection of members’ best, most representative work.

Triangle Book Arts is an inclusive group, welcoming people of all skill levels interested in book arts. To be added to our listserv, please contact Josh Hockensmith at hockensm at gmail dot com.
