Wednesday & Thursday, Oct 8 & 9, 2014
Wednesday, October 8, 7 – 9pm
Join a panel of photographers including Christer Berg, Titus Heagins, Jim Lee, Pascal Monmoine, Leah Sobsey, and Jenny Warburg as they discuss their approaches to making images of people. From photo journalism in the field to fashion shoots in the studio and everything between, these photographers will share their thoughts on technique, subject matter, and ethics in their very different approaches to capturing images of people. The panel, moderated by Roylee Duvall of Through This Lens Gallery, will include slides and easel displays of each photographer’s works. There will also be plenty of time for discussion.
Thursday, October 9, 8-10pm
Given a week, local photographers shot new, serial work in response to a thematic prompt. They’ll show their quick projects PechaKucha-style—in a slideshow of up to 19 images, each shown for 19 seconds. Photographers will discuss their projects after the showing.
Both events organized in conjunction with CLICK! Triangle Photography Festival. Find full information on other photography-related events in the Triangle at www.clicktrianglephoto.org.
