The Carrack presents a week of events examining the art we wear.
Join local artists, designers and community to celebrate the creativity of how we adorn ourselves, and explore the ways fashion intersects with cultural identity, economics, society and the environment. Programming will include fashion shows, a marketplace, speakers, panel discussion, workshops, art installation, and performance.
Artists/Designers will have the opportunity to participate in one of two fashion shows and make items available for sale in our Marketplace for select hours during the week. A zero-commission gallery, The Carrack collects no commission or fees from artists and designers participating in the event.
As always, The Carrack is an artist-centered, volunteer-run, zero-commission art space in Durham, North Carolina supported by community donations. Artists are given complete creative control of their exhibition or event and are expected to undertake all aspects of the professional presentation of their work. Artists have the option to price and sell their work as they see fit during their exhibition.
