BEND

Live performance by Kimi Maeda

May 15, 2015 at 8 pm

Combining live feed projection of sand drawings and archival film footage, Bend is a fifty minute solo performance that tells the true story of two men who were interned in a Japanese American relocation camp during World War II: the artist’s father, an Asian Art historian now suffering from dementia, and the subject of his research, Isamu Noguchi, a half-Japanese-half-American sculptor.
